Passed away June 3, 2007. Born Irma, Alberta, February 15, 1922 Predeceased by her loving husband, “NIP”-Allen and parents Leigh & Kathleen Currie. Mom of Pat, Lynne (Grant) & Allen (Brenda).- Grandchildren- Keith, Kerry, Paul, Alec & Dayton.
Survived by siblings: Mary (Ron) Clark, Ron (Evelyn) & Keith (Maureen) Currie. Mom had many special memories of growing up on “the farm”, in Irma. During the war, Mom & Dad married in 1947, moved to Edmonton, moved to Campbell River in 1966, on to Duncan, in 1972. Mom worked at the Duncan Library until retirement.
She was an avid hiker, quilter & decorator of dollhouses.
Dad & Mom spent wonderful years “trailering” throughout North America- making good friends wherever they stopped.
Mom was very involved in the community, the United Church & Square Dancing. Memorial service will be held at Duncan United Church., on Monday, June 18th at 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Salvation Army.
