Johnstone,
Donald Addison
July 2nd, 1916 - July 14th, 2004
Don was born in Edmonton Alberta and moved to Vancouver Island in 1949. He and his wife Chris lived in Ladysmith and Courtenay before moving to Campbell River when the Elk Falls Pulp and Paper Mill opened. He worked as a papermaker there for 28 yrs. When he retired they moved to Naramata and built a home on an Okanagan Lake front lot they had vacationed on for years. The last 5 yrs. were spent in Penticton where Chris still resides.
Don leaves behind his wife Christine, sons, Bruce (Lisa), Keith (Sue) and Wayne (Nancy). Don also leaves behind four loving grandchildren, Kylee, Wyatt, Colby and Kaylene. Don's strong family ties and great sense of humor are sorely missed.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
There will be a gathering of friends and family to celebrate Don's life on Saturday, August 7, 2004 from 1 to 4 p.m. This will take place at the home of Don's son Keith Johnstone in Naramata at 4385 Gulch Road. Please join us for a relaxed afternoon in the company of our wonderful memories of Don.
