Passed away on Saturday July 12th, 2008 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Comox, BC.
He was predeceased by his Mother May and Father Sam Kennedy.
He is survived by his loving wife Moira, son Mark Kennedy of Courtenay, Kyla Kennedy of Courtenay and Fiancee Paolo Martines of Sicily, Italy; brothers Samuel (Alison) of Wales, Uk, James (Anne) of Scotland, sister Kathleen (Ric) Harvie of Courtenay; nieces and nephews: Caroline, Angela, Louise, Alistair, Lauren, Karena, and Stephanie, together with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
David belonged to The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #270, Gold River, Gold River Golf and Country Club. David worked as a carpenter at the Gold River Pulp Mill. He enjoyed playing darts, golf, and soccer. David was a hard worker,loved to support his home soccer team, The Glascow Celtics, and was always the first to volunteer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Christ The King Roman Catholic Church, 1599 Tunner Drive Courtenay at 2p.m. July 22nd with Cremation to follow.
A Celebration of David's Life will be held in Gold River at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #270 on Saturday July 26th, at 4:00p.m.
