The world lost an amazing woman today. With sad hearts we say goodbye to DauDau as she was affectionately known, who at 99 years old passed away after taking a bad fall at her care home in Campbell River. Such a special person who lived life with laughter and was always grateful and joyful – her attitude in life was the key to her longevity and health. She will be dearly missed and leaves behind endless wonderful memories and stories we will treasure always. Predeceased by husband Percy Rear, son Douglas Rear and grandson David Rear. She was born in New Westminster, spent her life on the Mainland and moved to Campbell River in her 90th year. She is survived by daughter Judy (Frank), daughter-in-law Susan (Bob), grand-daughter Jennifer (Brent), great-grandchildren Brittany and Talia. Extended family Larry (Tammy), Savanna and Raegan. At her request, no service will be held.
