Darrell "Daz" Davis passed away peacefully at the Campbell River General Hospital in the early hours of May 15/2018 at the age of 71 years old. Daz was born on September 24, 1946 in Shirebrook England, after attending school he worked locally before enlisting in the army where he served in Germany and North Ireland before moving to Canada. Daz worked at Westmin Mines and retired from Quinsam Coal in 2014.
Daz was known for his kindness towards others and always willing to help out where he could, his sense of humour was his best attribute always putting smiles on people's faces.
Daz was the proud father of Glenn (Jennifer) Wayne (Bubs) and Step Father to Lori, Lorne. He was especially proud of his grandchildren Shyanne, Serena, Morgan, Kai, Jessica, Chase, Logan, Karsyn, Kristen & Tye. Daz also leaves behind his siblings Terry, Ken, Diane and great friend Tony Stevens.
Daz is predeceased by both his parents Walter and Emma, sister Delyse and eldest son Nigel.
If there is anything Daz would've wanted everyone to know is that he loved them dearly and "It's nearly Friday!"
As per Daz's request there will be no services held. Anyone wishing to send flowers or make a donation are asked to send them to the Campbell River Hospital Unit3A.
