It is with great sadness we are announcing the passing of Christine Schofield (Flynn).
She leaves behind her husband of 49 years Gord, her three children Erin (Shaun), Laura (Ben) and Michael (Nicole) and their 6 grandchildren Wyatt, Quinley, Nolan, Sidney, Brendan and Abby along with her brother David.
Chris grew up in Richmond BC where she met Gord and they married as teenagers. They moved to Campbell River in 1975 where they raised their family.
Chris worked for the City of Campbell River with the Parks and Recreation department for almost her whole career. Chris had a love of gardening and boating.
She was able to spend 12 weeks out on the water before she was diagnosed with Cancer. Chris challenged her cancer head-on until it got the best of her.
Her family would like to thank Dr. Ramsay and all the healthcare professionals who aided Chris over the time of her battle.
There will be no celebration of life as per Chris's wishes and in lieu of flowers, please donate to the BC Cancer Foundation.
