October 31, 1923- May 25, 2014
Charles “Chick” Uzzell was born in Arcola, Saskatchewan, on October 31, 1923, and moved to Vancouver Island with his family in the early 1930’s. He settled in Campbell River with his family in the early 1960’s. He was a well known and respected logging contractor for many years on the coast.
He was predeceased by his three brothers: Jack, Roy, George, and nephew John. He is survived by loving wife Muriel, children Stan (Kay), Marlene (Paul), and Danny (Gisele), youngest brother David, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Chick passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Sunday, May 25th, 2014.
An informal celebration of Chick’s life will be held on Saturday, May 31st, 2014 at his home from 1-4pm. We invite you to share your memories of Chick with Muriel, family and friends.
