July 11, 1942 - February 6, 2022
It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful death of Brian Hugh Saunderson at The Gardens, Qualicum Beach, B.C. on February 6, 2022.
Born in Montreal on July 11, 1942 to Hugh and Isabel, he leaves his beloved wife Terry, daughters Andrea and Lisa, sisters Daphne and Janet and their families.
Brian came west to study law at U.B.C. After Articles, he initially set up practice forming the law firm of Paradis, Lawrence and Saunderson. These three were appointed to the Provincial Bench in that order and left us in that order.
He settled in Campbell River in 1974, practicing law until 1991. He was a dedicated Judge and loved his work.
Brian respected and cherished the out of doors, was an avid fisher, enjoyed many sports, and treasured riding his Harley. His passion for good food and company followed him throughout his life. He devoted a great deal of time to Campbell River Daybreak Rotary attaining the status of an Honorary member and Paul Harris Fellow.
Our sincere thanks to the staff at The Gardens for their exceptional care of Brian.
