Brenda Muriel Exall
December 31, 1932 – June 28, 2011
Our lovely, accomplished and gentle mama left us on Tuesday, June 28. She was diagnosed with Acute Leukemia early in June and was taken from us unexpectedly. Mum enjoyed her work as a Judiciary Advisor for the Attorney General in B.C., advocating for those who needed a voice. Brenda’s happiest memories were those times spent with her family, her music, her hiking group and her pets, Opal and Amy. All who loved her knew her gentle heart and her love of creation. Beloved and dearly remembered by family and friends.
Brenda was predeceased by her beautiful, brilliant son Andrew Kenton Cecil. She is survived by her daughters Della Jane Cecil and Eva Marie Dearham (Andy), her grandchildren Obadiah James Dirk, Paula Joy (James), Sharon Dawn (Nathan) and Andrea Jane; and great-grandchildren Avery Daniel, Judah Benjamin, wee baby Falconer who arrives in August, sister Iris Barker (Ken), niece Yvonne Austin (Tony) and former husband Leslie Cecil. Loved and deeply missed by Joe and the Pallor family of Campbell River, and the Dearham family of Ontario.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Elk Falls Memorial Chapel and Reception Centre on the Gold River Highway (5 minutes north of Campbell River at Elk Falls Cemetery) on Friday, July 8 at 1:00 pm.
