Beatrice (Bea)

May 13, 1923 -December 16, 2007

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Bea Tuffley December 16, 2007 at the C.R. Hospital.

Predeceased by her parents Arthur and Annie Young of Nova Scotia, siblings:Mary, Joan, Margaret & Charlie, 2nd husband Harry Tuffley, her beloved son Ed Levesque & daughter-in-law Vivienne Levesque.

Grieving her loss, daughter Jill (Ron, Carrie, Michael), her 2 grandchildren Annagret (Greg) & Paul, great grandson Joseph, sisters Helen, Christina, Esther (Ritchie) and Lucille.

Bea lived most of her adult life in C.R. raising her children and working as a cook at the old Painter’s Lodge, Quinsam Hotel, Del’s Drive In, Discovery Inn & the Marina Inn.

She is best remembered for her amazing pies that melted in your mouth. When asked what her secret was she would reply "It’s all in the temperature in your hands."

Bea spent many years involved with the Legion Ladies Auxillary & the Elks Royal Purple.

While Bea enjoyed being involved in her community, her first priority without a doubt was her family. She always doted on everyone especially at family gatherings. Although Bea has started her new journey her spirit & gentleness will always be with us.

Our family would like to thank the staff at Yucalta Lodge for your years of support & care, Dr. Carswell for always bringing a smile to Bea’s face, the E.R. & 3rd floor staff at the C.R. Hospital & to dear Father MacDonald for his blessing & fulfilling Bea’s last wish.

A Tea will be held in Celebration of Bea’s Life on Saturday Dec. 29th, 2007 from 1-3p.m. at 1500 Evergreen Rd.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimers Society.
