We are saddened to announce the passing of Antun (Tony) Doknjaš, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather on Saturday May 4th, 2024 at the age of 94.
He is survived by his wife Lily, children; Evelyn Douglas (Ron), David (Victoria), Tony (Christine), Mark and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his parents Illija & Eva Doknjaš and children, Stan Doknjaš and Daniel Rajala.
Tony left Croatia at the young age of 17 under wartime conditions and started a new life in Ontario, Canada. There he met his wife Lily and had 5 out of their 7 children. They eventually traveled west for greener pastures and settled in Campbell River where the last 2 of their children were born.
He leaves behind his loving family, and many hunting and fishing stories.
