Woodlot Licence Plan
A draft new Woodlot Licence Plan (WLP) for Woodlot Licence W1898 has been posted to the Quadra Island Woodlots website and is available for public review and comment. The WLP is available for review by the public, First Nations and resource agencies before approval is granted by the Ministry of Forests.
W1898 is held by 551945BC Ltd (dBa Buttle lake Resources Nigel Ross, Bill Ross, John Ross). W1898 includes 400.0 ha of crown land and 86.6 ha of private land. The crown land is located on Quadra Island just west of Village Bay Lakes and the private land is located on the eastern shore of Upper Campbell Lake near Strathcona Park Lodge.
The draft WLP is available for public review and comment for a 30 day period and can be found at www.quadraislandwoodlots.ca.
In order to receive consideration prior to WLP approval, comments must be received in writing by Dec 31, 2023. There is a cutoff date for public input for the WLP but general comments can be submitted to Buttle Lake at anytime for any issue at blr@uniserve.com.
