La-kwa sa muqw Forestry Ltd., as representative of La-kwa sa muqw Forestry Limited Partnership, gives notice of an amendment to the Mid-Island Forest Operation Forest Stewardship Plan (FSP) 932, within the Campbell River Natural Resource District on Vancouver Island, as required by Section 20(4) of the Forest Planning and Practices Regulation. The FSP includes areas in the vicinity of the Campbell River, Woss and Sayward.
The amendment to the FSP added La-kwa sa muqw Forestry Ltd. as a holder of FSP 932, in its capacity as general partner of La-kwa sa muqw Forestry Limited Partnership, a limited partnership between the Tlowitsis, We Wai Kai, Wei Wai Kum and K’ómoks First Nations, and Western Forest Products Inc.
The amendment to the FSP has been approved in accordance with the Forest and Range Practice Act effective March 28, 2024, and is exempt from public review and comment pursuant to Section 20(3) of the Forest Planning and Practices Regulation.
