The Quality Foods Festival of Lights fireworks show capped a wonderful national birthday celebration in the Campbell River area.
From pancake breakfasts, barbecues, music and parades, Canada Day was a great day around these parts as hundreds took in many events that began with the Transformations on the Shore carving competition on June 25 and ran right up until the first fireworks blasted off around 10:25 yesterday evening.
