The Discovery Passage Aquarium at the Discovery Fishing Pier is open from this week until mid-September, every day from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Staff and volunteers have been busy prepping the tanks for the many live exhibits and hosting the first school classes. At the centre of the exhibition is the big walk-around salmon tank where you can watch the young chinook and coho salmon growing over the summer. The popular aquarium drew over 12,500 visitors last year and this year will see a lot more scheduled programming. You can get a family pass now and you are ready to go down there as often as you like.
