Police investigate sudden death in Campbell River apartment

Campbell River RCMP are investigating a “sudden death” in a Campbell River apartment last Thursday.

Residents of Scenic View Manor at Dogwood and 7th Ave. expressed fears about a possible homicide after being questioned by police Thursday afternoon (Nov. 16) around 4:30 p.m. One woman reported to CTV that she had heard a loud bang the night before (Nov. 15).

Campbell River RCMP said Tuesday that the Campbell River Major Crime unit is investigating the situation jointly with the B.C. Coroner’s Office. However, no more information has been released.

“We are not releasing any information at this time as it is under investigation, in the early stages,” said Cpl. Ron Vlooswyk of the Campbell River RCMP.
