The rock throwers on Dogwood just won’t stop.
For a third straight week, RCMP responded to multiple incidents of rocks being thrown at moving vehicles in and around Dogwood Street.
The latest incidents were reported to police last Thursday night.
The first call came at 7:25 p.m., from a man whose vehicle was hit, presumably by rocks, on Dogwood near 9th Avenue. A few minutes later, a female driver was on the Dogwood hill, between 9th and 11th avenues, when her car was hit by rocks.
At roughly the same time and same place, a couple was driving up the hill when a rock caused a large chip in their windshield.
“Police had already been called for the first complaint, and were searching for the suspect(s) on foot,” said Cpl. Poppy Hallam in a news release. “In all cases, it’s unclear which side of the Dogwood hill the rocks were coming from, but since all drivers were driving up the hill, it’s believed they were on the west side toward Elm Street.”
Police have yet to arrest anyone involved in the numerous incidents. Anyone with information is urged to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
In a separate incident, on Saturday at 1:07 a.m., police responded to a complaint from a driver whose windshield was cracked while driving along Highway 19 by Spit Road.
The driver believes the vehicle may have been hit by a pellet or BB. Patrols in the area were negative.

Campbell River RCMP are actively involved in the cause and will be wearing anti-bullying pins and attending Carihi for an assembly and also playing basketball with the teachers at Southgate. Basketball action starts at 11:30 a.m.
