Josh Duncan caught this nine-foot shark on his boat Wednesday, Aug. 10 in the Lower Johnstone Strait, about six miles south of Kelsey Bay.
It's a salmon shark, apparently rare but not uncommon in our waters.
"She came up tangled in our nets while fishing for our annual sockeye fishery," Duncan said.
In the photo is Duncan's daughter Lola, his brother Mark Anthony and his son Alex who came down to see the shark.
