PHOTOS: Local resident captures images of waves battering the coast in Campbell River

Mark Seal snapped pictures along the Campbell River shoreline at high tide during Thursday’s storm

As winds pummelled the coast on Thursday, local resident Mark Seal was out snapping pictures. Seal captured images on his smartphone of breakers whipping the shoreline and tossing driftwood in the surf. The photos were shot between Hidden Harbour and Stories Beach at about 2-3 p.m. on Thursday, right around high tide. You can see more photos from Seal, who is the watchman at Campbell River Marine Terminal in Menzies Bay, on Instagram at @arkus369.
