Jim Brennan has been appointed the new Interim Executive Director at the Immigrant Welcome Centre.

The Board of Directors and staff at Immigrant Welcome Centre have appointed Jim Brennan as Interim Executive Director.

Brennan brings with him a comprehensive background in management and social services in both the public and private sectors.

He has been an integral part of the Immigrant Welcome Centre for more than three years.

“The board is thrilled to have Jim step into this role,” says Board Chair Patricia Gagnon.

“His skills and experience will be a great asset and we appreciate his commitment. We know that Jim has been working closely with the leadership team and is fully prepared to keep the organization running smoothly for the next few months.”

Experts in immigrant services since 1992, the Immigrant Welcome Centre assists newcomers to Canada to successfully settle in our communities by offering help with housing, access to government and local services, education, and employment.

The organization also coordinates several initiatives that address diversity and inclusiveness including the annual Walk Away From Racism and the Welcoming Communities Coalition.
