Construction boom

Campbell River and Victoria led the way in construction activity on Vancouver Island this past spring

Campbell River and Victoria led the way in construction activity on Vancouver Island this past spring.

According to the The Vancouver Island Construction Association, the industry experienced an upturn in activity from April to June thanks to surge in institutional and government building and a seasonal increase in residential construction.

All seven regional districts on the Island, except Nanaimo, saw gains in building permits.
