Full docket of events held throughout the afternoon

A full afternoon was on the docket for attendees of this year’s Haig Brown Fall Festival.

Campbell Riverites could enjoy everything from live music to tincture-making demonstrations to flyfishing demonstrations at the festival this year.

The Museum at Campbell River hosted the annual Haig-Brown Festival on World River’s Day and celebrate the legacy of Roderick Haig-Brown and Ann (nee Elmore) Haig-Brown the influential couple who made their home in Campbell River.

Highlights of the festival this year include a writing workshop on inspiring creativity through mindfulness facilitated by Margo McLoughlin, an artisan market featuring new artists, the city-hosted Stewardship Awards, fly-casting and fly-tying demonstrations, a guided botanical walk with local plant expert Chuck De Sorcy, readings from the works of Roderick Haig-Brown with Neil Cameron, music by the Awakaneers, and a craft table for kids hosted by the Immigrant Welcome Centre.

The event was filled with families looking to get out and enjoy the fall weather and to spend time in nature.
