Carihi Engineering/Tech teacher Frazer Smith took delivery of 28 welding masks donated to Carihi and other South Coast schools by the Canadian Welding Association Foundation which supports public safety awareness and creates access to educational opportunities for all levels. Through Smith’s contacts in the industry, he was able to secure the mask donations, 12 of which he kept at Carihi, four he passed on to Timberline and four each to Powell River, Parksville and Gibsons high schools.
