The Miracle Beach 5 & 10 K Run will be celebrating its 25th anniversary this year on Oct. 19.
The run was started in 1990 by the Campbell River Running Club and is one of the friendliest and most relaxed events on the Island running calendar, as these four runners can attest. River Runners in conjunction with the Campbell River Recreation Department are offering another beginner run clinic for those who would like to train for the 5 or 10K distances at Miracle Beach.
The clinic starts on Saturday, Sept. 13. Each week there are group runs for different speeds and distances. Some weeks will have informative talks on run equipment and planning and everyone will receive a five week training program. Cost is $25. To register for the run clinic call 250-923-7911.
