A pantomime, or “panto,” is a lively form of theatrical entertainment originating from British traditions. It blends comedy, music, dance, and audience interaction, often presenting well-known fairy tales with a humorous and exaggerated twist. Pantomimes feature a diverse cast, including a character called the “Dame,” portrayed by a man in flamboyant female costume. Known for vibrant costumes, slapstick humour, and audience participation, pantomimes offer families a joyous and entertaining theatrical experience.
Theatre Quadra is thrilled to bring “Aladdin: The Pantomime” to life under the directorial brilliance of Linda Lolacher and Dr. Victor Jordan, with Linda Cannon returning as the Music Director.
