Kids who love art will have the chance to work with well-known artist and teacher Mary Deveau at the ‘Fabulous Art’ Summer Camp at the Campbell River Art Gallery July 14 to 18.
Budding artists aged 7 to 12 will have the opportunity to add a little art adventure to their summer by investigating a variety of materials, including pencil, paint, markers, collage and clay. Kids will be able to express freely, focus energy and make a mess! By exploring mark making, colour theory and the properties of clay they’ll be able to tap into their own creative genius. Each day will also include some outside art making and activity to get the wiggles out! Deveau is a Campbell River-based artist working in ceramics and painting.
The camp runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Friday, July 14 to 18, and the cost is $165 for CR Art Gallery members and $175 for non-members. Drop by the Gallery or call 250-287-2261 for information.
