Don’t miss the great Zucchini Grand Prix at the Quadra Island Fall Fair on Sept. 9.

Come join the folks of the Discovery Islands at the second annual Quadra Island Fall Fair.

Highlights of the day include the petting farm, Zucchini Grand Prix, dog agility and doggie dash, hundreds of examples of the best of island gardening, baking, preserving, arts, crafts, writing, rural ingenuity, a livestock expo, great food, informative talks and demos, an artisan market, and music, theatre and stories throughout the fair.

It’s a day jam-packed with fun, and it all happens on the grounds of the Community Centre from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 9.

Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for youth 6-17 years, and $15 for a family.  Children 5 and under are free.

A complimentary shuttle service will meet the 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. ferries from Campbell River, and will leave from the fair grounds at 3:30 (for the 4 p.m. ferry) and 4:30 (for the 5 p.m. ferry) and 5:15 for the 5:50 p.m. ferry.

The ferry crossing takes about 10 minutes.  If you bring your vehicle, parking is free, but space is limited, so be prepared for a bit of a walk.  Or come by bike!

Finally, please, leave your pet comfortably at home.

No dogs are permitted on the Fair Grounds.
