Folk singer Ian Howard Reid will be performing June 23 at Foggdukkers on the sea.

Ian Howard Reid is the son of an artist’s son and a salesman’s daughter.

His sensitivity and gift of the gab make his performances indelible and Reid will be bringing that to Campbell River.

Reid will be appearing at Foggdukkers coffee shop along the Island Highway on June 23 at 7 p.m.

Since returning from years of overseas teaching in 2008, Reid has played nearly 800 shows, earning much respect from his musical peers and fans alike.

In May, Reid released his fifth album “Hawkstripe” and is now touring Western Canada this month to promote his work, see the mountains and the ocean, and make some new pals.

The critics have had high praise for Reid.

“Folk music’s charmingly talented boy next door” -  Hillside Festival Announcer, Jen Rafter.

“He is so completely, unapologetically himself on stage. On top of that, he writes good tunes!” -Andrew Craig, host of CBC’s ‘Canada Live’.

“Paul McCartney meets Levon Helm meets Sesame Street” - storyteller Brad Woods.
