Rotary Club of Campbell River inducts new president

The 78th Annual Rotary Club of Campbell River Installation took place on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at the Maritime Heritage Centre emceed by District 5020 Assistant District Governor, Graham Stewart.

The 78th Annual Rotary Club of Campbell River Installation took place on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at the Maritime Heritage Centre emceed by District 5020 Assistant District Governor, Graham Stewart.

Rotary presidents serve a one year term. The Rotary Club 2022-23 president, Colleen McClure, handed over the gavel to incoming president, Danny Munroe. The ceremony began with a traditional blessing by Chief Darren Blaney, followed by a traditional ceremonial dance performed by Junior Henderson and nephews DJ and Grayson.

District 5020 Past District Governor, Mo Fitz-Roberts, gave the official Rotary greeting and District 5020 District Governor, Dale Roberts, inducted the new president, Danny Munroe, the new Board and introduced award winners Karen Johnson (Rotarian of the Year) and John Doucette (Director of the Year). Fellow club members and guests enjoyed a plated three-course dinner catered by Quay West.
