Pier Street Farmers’ Market is back!

Campbell River market will be open each Sunday, May through September, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Campbell River’s one and only Pier Street Farmers’ Market returns to the lot at Fisherman’s Wharf this Sunday, May 4.

“Actually we’re not just a farmers’ market,” says manager Jim Creighton.  “We’re an ‘arts fair’ as well.

“Yes, we do have farmers, lots of great farmers, and we are part of the Eat Local initiative, but we also have a wonderful array of handmade arts and crafts.

“The best selection of arts and crafts north of Victoria,” he adds.

This market will be open each Sunday, May through September, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., so there’s lots of time to visit, even after church is out.

Come down for breakfast or lunch, or meet a friend for fresh coffee and fresh baking.

You’ll be entertained by live local music, a different musician each week.

Plus there’s ‘special’ days, for mothers, fathers, kids, families and seniors.

Don’t forget ‘Hat Day’ in July, which is a Pier Street original.

Throughout the summer they’ll be hosting ‘special guests’, as well. There’s always something for everyone.

“One last thing,” says Creighton. “Parking can be a challenge.

Why not park downtown and walk the block to our fair?

Take an extra five minutes and enjoy your Sunday.”
