The Campbell River Italian Cultural Society recently made a donation towards one of the infant resuscitators in the Campbell River Hospital Maternity Department.
“Most of the time, after a baby is born, they will take their first breath on their own, if they need help, the Infant Resuscitator is used,” says executive director of the Campbell River Hospital Foundation, Stacey Marsh.
“We are very grateful the Campbell River Italian Cultural Society for helping to ensure that each Labour, Delivery and Post-Partum room has a resuscitator.”
For 21 years the Campbell River Italian Cultural Society has hosted an amazingly fun and delicious family picnic at Miracle Beach Provincial Park, complete with homemade sausages and spaghetti, raising more than $24,000 in support of quality health care for Campbell River and North Vancouver Island.
