People can join Harmony Hearts and Mennonite Central Committee B.C. with making blankets on Feb. 24. Submitted photo by Harmony Hearts.

A group called Harmony Hearts meets up regularly on Friday mornings with the Mennonite Central Committee B.C. and makes blankets. The blankets are then distributed to people all over the world.

Harmony Hearts is inviting anyone interested in making comforters to join the group on Saturday, Feb. 24, for a one-day “blitz” at the United Mennonite Church on 2277 Enns Rd. in Black Creek. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and no experience or supplies are required. Lunch will be provided.

The group is calling it the “Great Winter Warm Up.”

Any monetary or fabric donations are appreciated.

The funds to purchase the backing and batting are raised through donations from the group’s Christmas Craft Fair but rely on fabric donations for colour.
