A Celebration of Life/Birthday Party is being held for former long-time Campbell River resident, volunteer and community worker Marne Svennes.

Svennes is currently battling ALS and has recently moved back to the community she and husband Brian Hicks called home for so long. Friends and family are invited to drop in to the Willow Point Hall between noon and 2:30 p.m. to say hello, reminisce and show your support for Svennes. She is putting up a lot of her jewelry and books up for sale to raise money for ALS research.

All who know her or worked with Svennes are invited to drop by to visit with.
