The Canadian Cancer Society and The Lady Rose Marine Services of Port Alberni have joined forces in the battle against cancer.
During the month of March, participants will be able to travel aboard the MV Frances Barkley down the scenic Alberni Inlet from Port Alberni to Bamfield approximately 80 kilometres. Twenty dollars from each adult paid fare will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society. Cost of return fare is $70 for adults and ½ price for children under 15. These scheduled return trips will take place Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays to Bamfield only. The Ship will depart at 8 a.m. and return to the dock at 4 p.m, with a one hour layover in Bamfield for participants to stroll the boardwalk and visit the General Store.
