The Black Creek Community Association’s Winter 2012 Activity Guide has arrived in mailboxes and registrations have started. Classes begin the week of Jan. 16 and registration is on now.

The guide features an array of classes, workshops and events for people of all ages. The guide can also be accessed at the BCCA’s website: www.bccaonline.ca, or stop by the BCCA’s office during office hours to request a copy and register for classes.

Office hours for Winter 2011 are: Monday to Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday to Thursday. The BCCA accepts the following forms of payment: cash, cheque, debit, Visa or MasterCard.

For kids, beginner ballet, karate and basketball (Hoop Dreams) have returned. New programs include a drop-in family floor hockey night at Miracle Beach Elementary, as well as a Rock School class for budding musicians. There will be a family hula hooping workshop for the Pro-D day in February.

The regular preschool programs of Parent and Peanut at the centre and the Oyster River Elementary Parent and Child drop in continue and both are free.

For adults, Zumba Circuit continues with an additional class on Monday mornings. Other fitness classes include Pilates, Boxerfit, Evening Energizer, Fit For Life, Hula Hooping, Tai Chi and both Hatha and Kripalu yoga. Exciting additions to the programming are a new yoga class called Body Rolling and a guitar group for mature music students.
