Campbell River Transition Society and JAK’S Beer, Wine, Spirits are teaming up to raise money for the vulnerable women and children of Campbell River.

The Campbell River Transition Society provides a variety of housing and health solutions to vulnerable women and children in Campbell River.

“We have been supporting the Campbell River community since 1987, and help 250 to 300 women and children each year,” says Valery Puetz, Executive Director. “We always welcome community and corporate support of our charity.”

On Saturday, June 23, from 12-4 p.m., JAKS will be celebrating summer at the Discovery Harbour – 1328 Island Highway and Timberline Village – 801 Hilchey Road, and will donate 10 per cent of sales to the Campbell River Transition Society.

“We are proud corporate citizens of Campbell River and we are pleased to help such a worthy charity,” says Mike McKee, Community Outreach partner of JAK’S Beer, Wine, Spirits.

JAK’S Beer, Wine, Spirits is the former Metro Liquor store under the new owners ship and a new name. The company offers a selection of local craft beer, wines and spirits.

“Our summer celebration will highlight all the amazing products produced right here in B.C. We will have lots of products to sample and prizes.”
