Campbell River will be in the pink as anti-bullying fair begins

Campbell River will be in the pink Wednesday as School District 72 and a group of community partners host an anti-bullying Fun Fair

Campbell River will be in the pink tonight as School District 72 and a group of community partners host an anti-bullying Fun Fair from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ecole Phoenix Middle School gym.

The event features games, face painting, a canteen, and Bounce-A-Rama activities. Supporters and participants include Phoenix Leadership, Carihi Interact, Phoenix Fit & Rec, Campbell River RCMP, and Bounce-A-Rama Rentals.

Admission is by donation, and all ages are welcome.

Proceeds from the Fun Fair go to support leadership initiatives promoting diversity through workshops for students.

 

Ready, set, go!

The City of Campbell River and Campbell River School District are among the partners hosting a free children’s health fair March 13, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Robron Centre. Ready, Set, Go! is designed for newborns to six-year-olds and their families.

It will feature free vision, hearing, dental, speech and developmental screenings; family resources and tips. There will be children’s storytime, drumming and lots of other activities, as well as snacks, prizes and a surprise or two.

The free fair is also sponsored by Success by 6 and the Campbell River Area Family Network.
