Campbell River caregivers get help in role as ‘invisible second clients’

The day-long workshop helps caregivers learn strategies to care for someone with dementia

The Alzheimer Society of B.C. is bringing its free Family Caregiver workshop to the area on Thursday, August 20.

The day-long workshop helps caregivers learn strategies to care for someone with dementia and to take care of their own health, to ensure they are prepared to continue to provide care for their family members.

Topics to be covered include: Understanding Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias; Effective and creative ways of facilitating communication with a person with dementia.
