The call for nominations are now open for the 2015 Business Awards of Distinction.
Nominate deserving businesses, organizations and individuals today. Self-nominations are also welcome. Join with the Campbell River Chamber in recognizing and celebrating business excellence, innovation, entrepreneurship and leadership in our community. Qualifying nominees receive over $8,500 worth of promotional exposure.
The 2015 Call For Nominations will run until Friday, July 3. Nominations are open to all businesses, organizations and entrepreneurs in Campbell River and the surrounding area who demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit, innovation and commitment to success.
“There is an abundance of great local businesses and organizations in our community that deserve to be recognized and celebrated. They are the backbone of our local economy and we would like to encourage everyone to take a minute to show your appreciation and send in a nomination. It’s an easy one page process to nominate,” said Colleen Evans, Chamber President & CEO. “Qualified nominees will then receive extensive promotion leading up to the awards event to showcase the success of businesses, organizations and leaders in our community and the impact they are having on Campbell River.”
There are 14 award categories for nomination including: Business of the Year (1-5 employees), Business of the Year (6-25 employees), Business of the Year (26-49 employees), Business of the Year (50+ employees), as well as Not-for-Profit of the Year, Diversity Leadership Award, Community Spirit Award, Employer of the Year, Young Professional of the Year, New Business of the Year, Innovation & Technology Award, Social Enterprise Award and International Export Award.
Nominees can be nominated in more than one category and businesses, organizations and individuals are also encouraged to self nominate. Nomination forms and more information about the award categories are available on line at www.campbellriverchamber.ca.
Nominees will be contacted and asked to submit additional information, in a nomination package, to demonstrate their eligibility and become a qualified nominee.
An independent panel of judges representing a broad range of Campbell River businesses and organizations will review and score each qualified nominee package received.
In addition to receiving up to $8500 in promotional exposure, all qualified nominees will be honoured at an exclusive VIP Reception. The award recipients will be identified and announced at the Business Awards of Distinction Gala on Saturday, September 19th at the Tidemark Theatre.
