Campbell River Hospice Society Thrift Store “Second to None”
CR Hospice Society aims to provide individuals in the communities we serve, the entire North Island, Quadra and Cortez Islands, with tangible support through and after end of life experiences. We provide trained volunteers to meet people where they need it most, in their homes, long-term care facilities and in the hospitals. We work closely together with many service providers such as Island Health to identify the needs in our communities and fill those gaps in relation to hospice, palliative care. To continue to provide services to community members free of charge, we had to look at ways to become self-sustainable, thus the creation of our Campbell River Hospice Society Thrift Store – “Second to None”.
Second to None is a group of 45 eager volunteers with great ideas headed by Tiffany Dirks our Store Manager. We provide friendly, warm, receptive and welcoming customer service to our donors and customers. This bright welcoming environment has created increased awareness and positive relations with community members and CR Hospice Society.
