With his beloved wife of over 70 years at his side, our father Peter Kelly passed away peacefully at the Campbell River hospital on May 27th 2018.
Peter was born March 6th 1927 in Thorhill, Alberta. He spent many years in Nanaimo, Prince George and Vernon, raising his large family with the love of his life, Rose-Anna.
Peter and Rose-Anna enjoyed travelling, camping and visiting family and friends. They loved their annual RV trips to the southern states and made lifelong friendships along the way.
Peter's life was all about family and he is lovingly remembered by his seven children: Linda Hiemstra (husband Gordon), Peter Kelly (wife Carolyn), Wendy Kelly, Judy Kelly, Lee Anderson (husband Bruce), John Kelly, Catherine Korol (husband Kelly); nineteen grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and sisters Winnie, Sheila and Doris.
He wanted to express his thanks and gratitude to his doctors and all the very special nurses at the Campbell River Hospital. You are all amazing!
His kindness touched everyone, his love for life inspired us all.
We'll keep the camp fire burning for you Dad!
A private gathering will be held June 16th at Painter's Lodge, Campbell River.
