Kudos to Marc Kidderingham for recognizing the so called Town Hall Meeting for what it was.
I was sitting outside in the blustery weather with my protest sign which made it clear that the meeting was a conservative rally – complete with lingering anti-COVID mandate sentiments, conspiracy theories and a touch of climate change denial.
This meeting was posted on the Freedom Rising website as one of their events. I can see why other invitees other than our mayor and company chose not to attend this rally. Otherwise, my protest experience was pretty positive with some good conversation and mostly polite people.
