FARRELL

Thomas James Alexander (Jim)

June 19, 1947 - June 28, 2009

Jim was born in Princeton, BC on June 19, 1947 to Edith & Matthew Farrell and passed away on June 28th, 2009 at Campbell River Hospital after a battle with cancer. Jim's life was spent in Campbell River. After graduation from Campbell River Senior Secondary School in 1967, he attended Technical School, achieving his heavy duty and automotive tickets. This added to his life long passion and hobby of Antique Cars and Hot Rods.

Jim will be sadly missed by wife Maryanne, son Sean, sister Kathey Pierce and family, in-law's Anne and Ken Herlinveaux, and many relatives and close friends. Jim was a member of several car clubs, including the North Island Cruisers. He loved camping and hanging out with his faithful companion Tucker.

Jim was immensely proud of his son Sean, who shares his passion for mechanics and cars.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 10th, 2009 at 2:00pm at St. Peters Anglican Church, 228 S. Dogwood St., Campbell River, BC. Reception following. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Campbell River Hospital Foundation or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.

We would like to thank Drs. Rowe & Klein, nurses & staff of 3 North for their care and compassion during Jim's illness.

Jim's hospital stay was immensely comforted by the hundreds of visitors who kindly shared their time with him during his illness. Thank you all so much.
