HOBSON-JONES, Sharon Forbes
1957 – 2009
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Sharon Forbes Hobson-Jones on February 3, 2009. Sharon was born December 28, 1957 in Zimbabwe.
In 1983, Sharon married her soul mate and best friend; the man she would travel the world with, David. Sharon was a devoted mother to her three children whom she loved unconditionally: Tamryn Koebel (Nathan Koebel), Lauren Davies (Jared Davies), and David Jr. Sharon was blessed to be a grandmother to the two granddaughters she adored with all her heart, Evangeline and Gabrielle Koebel. She also leaves behind, her mother, Olga Brooks of South Africa, sister, Anne Tramontino of South Africa, as well as three step children: Mark, Gary and Lynne Hobson-Jones and many extended family members around the world. She was predeceased by her father, Paul Willcock in 1986. Sharon will not only be sadly missed by her family and friends, but also by her beloved dog, Molly, who never left her side. Sharon was such a ray of sunshine to all who crossed her path and her light will shine on in all who are left behind. She brought so much joy to her family and was the true center and core of the Jones family. She will never be replaced nor forgotten; only cherished in all our hearts forever. Our greatest sadness is that she will no longer be a part of our physical lives, but will live on forever in her children and grandchildren and those still to come. Sharon held an immense love for her devoted husband, family and friends and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

The Funeral Service was held on Thursday, February 12, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pleasant Valley Funeral Home with Mr. Brian Jackson officiating. Interment took place in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery; after which family and friends gathered for a reception in the Pleasant Valley Tea Room.
