Rod passed away peacefully on March 9th, 2017 at his home. He leaves behind his loving sons Broderick (Brody) & Alison, Stuart, and Todd and adored grandchildren Josiah, River and Emma.
Stepchildren Jim Leonard, Sandy Reid, Rusty Watts and Sarah Rose Levac. Siblings Priscilla Henderson, brother in law Erny Norris, James D. Wilson Jr., and Lisa Anwar. Many uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and associates. Rod was predeceased by his mother Audrey Wilson, father Jack Naknakim Jr., step-father James Wilson Sr. and step-sister Joan Norris.
Rod was an avid soccer player in his days. He served many years on the board of directors for the Nuyumbalees Cultural Centre, most recently working with repatriation projects and Tribal Journeys 2017.
Rod was Chief Treaty Negotiator for the Laichwiltach Treaty Society and was a practicing lawyer since 1976.
Rod had so many friends and will be greatly missed by all.
Funeral Service to be held at 1:00p.m. Friday, March 17th, 2017 at the Cape Mudge Hall.
