In Loving Memory ~
It is with profound sadness we announce the sudden passing of Mikey Janicki. He was the soulmate to his wife Sylvia (nee Thomson) proud father to Angela and Alicia (Brendan) and beloved Grumpa to his amazing grandchildren Daniel and Addison.
Predeceased by his parents Edward and Stella Janicki and his sister Barbara.
He leaves behind numerous (unfinished projects) brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends he considered family.
Born in Ocean Falls, moved to Campbell River in 1973, built a home and raised his family in Black Creek before finally settling in Courtenay.
Mike was known for his larger than life personality, generosity and sense of humor.
He lived life big and was loved big back. He will be remembered and honored by all those who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Campbell River Search and Rescue Society in Mike's memory would be appreciated. He was so proud of the volunteer work Angela does for them.
Celebration of Mike's life will be held on Saturday May 25th 2pm onwards at the Seal Bay RV Park Pavilion, Courtenay, B.C.
