January 10, 1923 – September 11, 2016
John passed away on September 11, 2016 at Campbell River Hospital. John was predeceased by his parents and 10 siblings. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Bertha, son Trevor Bader of Hope, BC, daughters Judi Hahn (Wayne) of Campbell River, BC, Marjorie Blake (Larry) of Kelowna, BC, and Gwen Mercer (Randy) of Campbell River, BC, 10 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
John belonged to the Eagles Club and throughout his life worked as a salesman, diamond driller and was a business owner. His hobbies included snooker, where he was the Champion of B.C. twice, woodworking, playing guitar and singing. John also loved the Toronto Blue Jays, music and could harmonize to any song.
