Irene May Churchill, age 93, passed away on June 16, 2017 at Campbell River General Hospital with family and a wonderful friend at her side. Irene joined the Royal Canadian Air Force to serve her country during World War 2. She made Campbell River her home in 1962 with her husband Wilbert and children, Rita, Robert and Craig. She firmly planted herself in Campbell River and remained until her passing. The family wants to thank Dr. Michael Meckin and staff at the hospital who cared for Mom so well. We also want to thank Dandy Axelsson for her friendship and loving devotion to our Mom throughout the years. At Mom’s request no service is planned.
