We are sad to announce the passing of our beloved Mom on June 26, 2016 at Evergreen Seniors Home in Campbell River, B.C.
Etta was predeceased by spouse Clarence Byers, parents Ervin and Florence McKay, granddaughter Wendy O’Donnell, sister Hazel Hansen, son-in-law Walter Lutz and son-in-law Allen Waterman.
She is survived by daughter Irene O’Donnell-Lutz, Lorraine Wydenes (Martin) and Louise Waterman; grandchildren Mike O’Donnell (Suzanne), Sandy Sivers (Brad), Robert Wydenes, Gina Smith, Lynn Neufield (Brian); several great grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews Elaine McKenzie and many other relatives and friends.
Etta was a woman of pioneer spirt and loved gardening and cooking on a wood stove. She was a down to earth person and living on Quadra Island by the water was very special to her. She’s a granddaughter of Michael Madson, one of the first settlers of Cortez Island.
