Beatrice

of Campbell River, beloved mother and aunt, passed away at Campbell River General Hospital surrounded by her loved ones in the early morning of July 7, 2006. Her spirit, compassion and love for life was an inspiration to all who knew and loved her. She was a loving mother and grandmother who cared deeply for her family and friends. She enjoyed golfing, cooking, crossword puzzles, playing scrabble and blueberry milkshakes.

Beatrice was the eldest of twin sisters born in Ashmont, Alberta on April 7, 1928 and lovingly raised by Mr. Arthur James and Ethel Beatrice Ashdown. She was preceded in death by her brothers Cedric and Tony, and by her twin sister Angela. She leaves behind her sister Joan, two sons, Andrew David of Jacksonville, FL and Brian William of Seattle, WA and grandchildren Joshua, Kaley and Colton along with numerous nieces, nephews and loving friends.

The family would like to thank Dr. Keith Graham and the entire staff of Campbell River General Hospital for their loving care and attentiveness to Bea during her final days.

Beatrice will be laid to rest next to her sister Angela on Friday, August 18, 2006 at 4:00 P.M. in the “Wall of Remembrance”, Elk Falls Crematorium, Elk Falls Cemetery, Highway 28, General Hill, Campbell River.
